Public transport from CDG at a glance
- RER B urban train — the main option: all terminals to central Paris in 25–40 minutes, €14 (2026 fare).
- Express Bus 9517 — took over from the RoissyBus on 1 March 2026: CDG → Argenteuil – Saint-Denis (Pleyel) with Metro/M13-M14 and RER B/D connections, €2.55, 50–70 minutes.
- Noctilien night buses (N140 and N143) — night buses toward Paris when the RER is not running.
- TGV from the Terminal 2 station — not a Paris service, but the fastest public transport to Disneyland (10–15 min) and for long-distance trips.
Buying tickets
RER B tickets to Paris cost €14 (2026 pricing) from machines and counters at the airport stations, or with contactless payment à la Navigo where available. Bus tickets are bought on board or via the Île-de-France Mobilités app. Children and connections have their own pricing — check the destination pages for specifics.
What to watch out for
- 2026 RER B works: a year-long programme of engineering works affects service, especially late evenings and weekends. Verify the day’s conditions before committing to a tight connection.
- Rush hour: RER B gets genuinely crowded with commuters around 8–9:30 and 17–19:30 on weekdays; luggage space is not guaranteed.
- Stop names: for central Paris, Gare du Nord, Châtelet–Les Halles, Saint-Michel and Luxembourg are the usual targets; your hotel’s nearest RER B stop decides which end of the train to board.
- RoissyBus is gone: the RoissyBus to Paris-Opéra was discontinued on 1 March 2026 and replaced by Express Bus 9517 — check the current 9517 route and stops.
