How to get from Terminal 2D to Terminal 1

This is the usual route. Your exact path can vary by arrival hall and connection.

T2D to T2E: Landside (before security): follow signs through the covered walking corridors connecting Terminal 2 halls, approx 5-15 min. Alternative: free N1 shuttle bus serving 2A (Gate 5), 2C (Gate 12), 2D (Gate 6), 2E (Gate 16), 2F (Gate 2).

T2E to T1: Follow CDGVAL signage in Terminal 2E to the T2 central station (links 2C-2D and 2E-2F). Take the free CDGVAL towards T1.

The terminal pair alone does not determine the answer. What matters is your travel direction, whether your route stays airside, and whether you are entering the Schengen Area.

Do you need to collect checked baggage?
