Baggage storage at CDG
CDG has one official baggage storage facility, operated by Bagages du Monde. It is in the public area of Terminal 2, level 0, in the main hall of the Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV/RER station — the same hub the CDGVAL shuttle serves — so it is reachable from any terminal in minutes.
- Opening hours: every day, 07:00–21:00.
- Security: deposited bags are X-rayed and the room is under permanent video surveillance.
- How long: storage from a few hours to several days.
- Beyond plain storage: baggage wrapping, hotel delivery, door-to-door transport, stroller and car-seat hire, storage for special items (computers, helmets, surfboards, bicycles…), and pet cages for sale.
- Tip: you can pre-book your storage slot online to avoid waiting in line.
What “lockers at CDG” really means
The official service is a staffed counter where every bag passes an X-ray check — not rows of self-service lockers. Anything advertised as “lockers at CDG” is either the Bagages du Monde counter above or a private network storing bags outside the airport. Both can be legitimate — just know which one you are booking.
Baggage wrapping, if that is what you actually need
If your goal is protecting a bag rather than storing it, Bag Wrap counters sit next to the check-in areas of Terminals 1, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F and 3:
- Basic €16 — wrap only.
- Classic €20 — wrap plus €2,000 loss cover.
- Ultra €26 — wrap, €4,000 cover and free baggage tracking.
Planning around storage
- Public area only: the facility is before security — you cannot use it during a transit without leaving the transit area and going through security again. Traveling hand-baggage only avoids the detour altogether.
- Layover day trips into Paris: drop bags after arrival, then take the adjacent RER B downtown.
- Overnight or multi-day: possible; compare the storage rate against your alternatives before deciding.
